Overview of the network
The West Midlands (South & Central) Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Network is a large specialist clinical network comprising approx 300 children and teenagers with cystic fibrosis.
People with cystic fibrosis should be cared for by a multidisciplinary team of specialist doctors, nurses and allied health professionals at a recognised specialist CF centre, as set out in our nationally recognised standards of care.
Children will receive either full care from a specialist CF centre or shared care within an agreed, designated network. Due to the increasing complexity of cystic fibrosis in adulthood, full care should be delivered by a specialist CF centre.
Our Network strives to foster a culture which encourages innovation through active participation in research and development. Promotes collaboration and shared learning on a local, national and international scale. Leading the way for a world class service provision.
